Important Documents

Gather Immigration-related Documents

  • Canadian immigrant visa

  • IRCC-issued Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR), both IRCC and Client copies

  • Valid passport AND/OR Single-journey travel document

  • Medical Surveillance Form (if applicable)

  • Goods-to-follow documentation (if applicable): if you have shipped goods to Canada prior to departure, you must present the Bill of Lading from the shipping company to the CBSA officer at Customs

Do not pack these documents in your luggage. Keep them with you all the times.

Gather other Important Documents for Life in Canada

  • Professional Credentials

  • School transcripts and/or records (for school-aged children)

  • Immunization records (for children)

  • Driver’s License

  • Any other important documents
