IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING OR AT RISK OF ABUSE
If you are experiencing or at risk of abuse in your job, you may be eligible to apply for an open work permit for vulnerable workers. This permit is intended to help workers on employer-specific work permits to leave abusive situations quickly and transition to a new job.
Abuse consists of any of the following:

physical abuse, including assault and forcible confinement

sexual abuse, including sexual contact without consent

psychological abuse, including threats and intimidation

financial abuse, including fraud and extortion
IF YOU NEED TO REPORT AN ISSUE
Unfortunately, not all employers respect the rights of Temporary Foreign Workers. Remember, your rights are protected by the government of Canada and the provincial government. You have the right to contact any of the following agencies should you need to file a complaint or report an issue in your workplace.
